MHBC Book Drive was a HUGE Success! Thank you to everyone that donated!

Special thanks to:
Kyla Hughes, owner of "Kyla's Creative Kitchen" and Marcus Black History Club Photographer for sharing some of her soul food recipes and cooking tips at our first "Virtual Taste of Soul".

The 2020 MBHC Virtual Christmas Party!!

We would like to thank our club members for attending our Annual Christmas Party.  The MBHC Annual Christmas party has been a club tradition for many years. This year the celebration was a little different
(virtual), we were still able to celebrate the season, play games with wonderful prizes just like before!  Each member received a Christmas gift from the club and some lucky members won additional gifts! It was a great time.

**We want to extend a a special thank you to our generous donors that support our club.  This year especially we aren't able to do it without your generous support.  The club appreciates you and the students do as well.

Toy Drive was a Success!

The Marcus Black History Club and Christian Community Action (CCA) would like to thank everyone for donating to the toy drive for children of needy families in our community.  This donation drive was beyond a success!  As you can see below, by the end of Friday, all 4 donation boxes were packed and filled to the brim on a flat bed and I still had to use my teachers cart to transport the donations downstairs for pick-up.   The many donations given (in person and online) and all the encouraging/supportive notes received resonates that our slogan is more than a catchy phrase, it is truth:  WE ARE MARCUS.  WE ARE ONE!

A special thank you to Mrs. Strauss and Ms. Vara for allowing their classrooms to be used as drop-offs.  Enjoy the pictures below.  CCA came to Marcus this morning to pick-up all the donations.  They were extremely grateful!
